Salento's peninsula, where the Greek language (Grikò),
culture and tradition has been conserved till today.
Its origins come from the Magna-Grecia and Byzantine period.

In summer an important event, the Taranta's night, takes place in Melpignano, Lecce:
during which you can listen Italian Tarantella and popular songs
to dance till the dawn.
